A wet weekend in Snowdonia with Sixth Form students. We stayed at the park's original bunkhouse, Jesse James, which was basic but good enough. On the Saturday morning we helped our green credentials by carrying out some voluntary work clearing Rhododendrons in the forest. In the afternoon we managed a two hour hike in the hills, wet, cold and icy underfoot. One of the party was struck down with a stomach upset which also limited our time out. By Sunday moning, with the risk of more being struck down with the bug, we called off an ascent of Snowdon to return home, bedraggled and defeated.
