Dates: 15th-17th February
Destination: Ennerdale, Lake District
Upon arrival we attempted Grisdale Pike (791) but had to abandon the attempt due to the weather (poor visibility due to snow). We retreated to our bunkhouse in Ennerdale, which was remote and very cold until we got the fire going.
On day 2 we were more successful, summiting Haycock (797), Scoat Fell (841) Pillar (892) in around 6 hours. The photo above was taken on Scoat Fell, which gives an indication of the conditions.
On Day 3, before setting off home, we completed a lowland walk rather than attempting Red Pike as again the weather was rather poor.
