This attempt began and ended at Snowdon. The group completed the trek up and down Snowdon in torrential rain and very strong winds, taking 7.5 hours in total. The drivers waiting in the minibus were buffeted by strong winds and were staring to get a little nervous about the time taken by the group. Once down, we examined the weather forecast to find similar conditions in the Lakes and Scotland and made the decision to abandon the attempt, arriving back in Witney in time for breakfast at The Fleece.
